Ex Pats lost finding their way back to Armley News

Noticing the drop off from new visitors from foreign parts- apart from those in China who send all sorts of incomprehensible and quite pointless emails to Jam Siren, we went investigating!
We discovered that the link from Wikipedia has been removed (we did not put it there in the first place!) due to it being perceived as advertising!

We have kept new visitors from abroad abreast of Armley news, such as Diane in Florida, who found us when she searched for Armley in Wikipedia. I think Luke (who ever he is) needs to be aware that The Armley Tourist Board is a not for profit, and certainly for community spirit expression of civic pride.

We appeal to Luke to stop being snippy, he should be proud to include the quirky- history in the making if you like. (As all of our Leeds and global commentaries could be considered so really!) If you would like to reinstate this link, who ever you were in the first place then please do!

Yours with injured dignity the communication office of the Armley Tourist Board

Funny how they were worried about your page being mentioned but if you read the wiki page all the way through on "Armley" they say "The most notable of the former churches is the old Methodist chapel which is now owned by MIKES CARPETS , and is a familiar landmark to the people of West Leeds"..... I dont think they realize what they actually are talking about.....Im sure Mike is very happy to be globally recognised. Im sorry you guys went through this.

And to Diane for indignant response!
I have been blocked for repeated vandalism! I think I must have tried about 4 times in the last year to big up the Armley Gyratory. God damn!
